Run Jump Throw
Run Jump Throw
Today Room 5 had Run Jump Throw with Andy. Andy taught us two new skills, and the two new skills are Shotput and Discus. She was telling us all the important tips for Shot Put and Discus. We have to listen to the tips very carefully, so we can do it in the correct way without making any mistakes.
For shot put, your body should be able to bend and twist.
When you got the ball first you have to stand tall by looking side way and twist your leg little bit to the right then twist your body to the left so it will be able to to throw the ball straight.
For Discus you have to do the same thing as shot put but the difference between shot put is that you have to throw the ball by twisting your body, but in discus you have bend , twist and clap. You clap the disuse so it will be easier to throw the ball hard and straight. But we have to make sure that when you are you discus you knees should bend and you legs should be able to twist fast.

Place Value
This a presentation explaining the information that I know about Place Values. It also shows you the next steps of my learning with place values.
Breakfast In Schools
Have you experienced the starvation thousands of kids go through?
Kids leave home without breakfast and experience this everyday, which tells us that this is a great idea that NZ government should provide breakfast at school for all the kids who don't have an opportunity to eat breakfast in the morning. So, think about the kids who have just come from the refugee camp and parents who are looking for jobs but won’t be able to provide breakfast for their kids once a day. It will be very hard for the kids to focus on their education which can affect their future and appearance. Without breakfast some kids will become sick. Eating a good breakfast will help lead children to higher academic performance and enjoy school more.
We also found out that 15% of kids leave home without breakfast in the morning. We believe that kids in New Zealand should be provided with breakfast in schools so students can function the right way and focus on their learning besides hunger. Which tells us there are 15% of kids leave home without breakfast, so we have to stop it until it reached 100%.
We feel heartbroken that kids around the world are not able to eat breakfast in the morning, which tells us that when the government is giving a wonderful opportunity for the kids to have breakfast, you will know how helpful it will be for all the kids in NZ. We founded it out that in NZ some kids are , dysfunctional, ailing and indisposed without breakfast. They also not able to go to school and do their work. . So giving a opportunity like this it will make the kids well and will make them to put lots of focus in their learning. If we were in that condition we wouldn't be where we are know with our education.
In conclusion, we think this is the best idea for the government to provide breakfast in schools, because we don't want students sitting in classroom with an empty stomach and not able to focus in their learning .

Speech about Refugees
Good morning everyone!
My name is Saruja and today I am here to talk about Refugees! How many of you realise Refugees need help from us. Families come from other countries for protection! I was once a refugees and I know what it’s like to feel unsafe. Refugees, are people from different countries and they are trying to get away from all terrorists, vandalizing their country.
When I was refugee, I know how it will felt to be in trouble. That's why I want to help other refugees. You should too!. If you were their position, How would you feel?
My opinion will be always the same, we must help all the refugees by not sending them back to their countries to be harmed, murdered and property stolen.
I want all refugees to be safe and help them feel the freedom like I do and help them to be one step closer to a happy future with their families in countries like wonderful NZ. Refugees need to be treated as like other people. It ‘s not fair to treat them like a animals!
Did you know that there are more than 10 million refugees around the world? Is it a good idea to leave them like that? I don’t think so, because did you notice that 10 million refugees around the world, which tells me that they are not in safe situation. It’s not fair that NZ are going to allowed 750 refugees to come here, but it will be better if it increased more like 1200 refugees. To help with this decision we have fundraise money to help them, otherwise we will have to leave them behind and let them get murdered in their country.
Did you know when I was younger, I saw children being killed in front of my eyes. It’s still happening and still people are getting killed. Starting from now, helping refugees is a good idea or is it a bad idea? What do you think? and What's your opinion?
Do you know I have a way to solve this problem is to fundraise money to let them go to other countries that will keep them safe and help them to improve lot in their future.
Did you realise that refugees need help from us. I noticed that it will be a better idea to fundraise money to keep all the refugees safe. If you don’t help them in these horrible situations, all the refugees will keep having lots of problems. Be on my side and help the all the refugees.

Kiwi Sport
Today we had Kiwi sport. That was very interesting, because we learned a new skills about Long jump and high jump. Andy taught what are the important things for Long jump. Honestly I don't know any thing about long jump, but now I do now. The most important thing for long jumps are (Swinging arms, bend knees, looking up and two feet landing.) For the high jump the most important things are ( Slightly bend knees, Run from angle - J shapes, quick action, leaning arm-leg , Jump from side of lead leg). I thought that this is a best lesson I ever learnt.

Today Tiare and I worked together in Current Events. We choose a artical called KFC or KFRat. This artical is all about that a man order a chicken but he got a rat that fried . I found that it is a rat becasue it has a big long tail. Make sure when you are at KFC check if you are eating the correct and healthy food.
