Saruja & Zeba- Samoan Language Week

 
Here is our samoan language presentation. This presentation was created by zeba and I. This presentation includes information about the culture , dance , numbers and much more.Throughout the making of this presentation we have learnt much more about samoa than we did previously.

Saruja- Multiplication Challenge Day 5

Today I did Day 5 and it was beat the clock.  I really like that game it was so fun to race the clock. It also helps me to do it fast and I think I did my best and the level i did was 6 and It was little bit easy for me. I think this a best game and it will help you with your times table.

Saruja- parents interview ( In Rm 5 )

Yesterday we had our parents interview with our teachers. This interview was different than last year, because we have tell everything that we learn this year at our classroom. This is the photo of my mother and me. I was showing all the works that I have done at Rm 5.  On the computer I was showing her my blog, writing, math, reading and inquiry.  After that she will talk to my teacher and she will ask what she need to work on and How can I help her. My teacher said” I need to work on math and reading”. Then she gave me some activity that I can do at home, so I can improve my reading and my math. When finish our interview mum told me” you need to work hard so you can improve your math and reading.

I think this kind of interview is better, so kids can talk to their parents in their language.

I would like to thank my teacher Mrs Anderson to organized this interview in a perfect way.

Saruja- Multiplication Challenge Day 4

Today I did day 4 and Day 4 we just have one activity and I think I did well because you can see my first result is little bit ok but the second result is better. This is better because it show the second and the minutes so you can practise more and do better than that. I think this is a best game.

Saruja- Multiplication game

Toay we did day 3 which mean we kept learning our old times table and keep doing some different games. The 1 games is collecting the number in order and the 2 game wsa to tell the times table fast. I did these activities and it helps me to learn it quick.  I think this is a best game that will help you to learn your times table.

Saruja- Current Event

Today we did current events. For our current events we did 

Threats made against passenger flights. This article is about flight and  passengers. I really like this article and I learn lots if information . This problem happend today. 

I learn that some staff are very dangerous.

Saruja- Day 2 Multiplication Challenge

Today we did day 2 which mean we still on the times table we choose yesterday.

In some games there is no 12 times table, so I did 9 times table and  I did three game. These game make me to learn my times table very fast. I think this is a best game.

Saruja- 5 Minutes of Camp

5 Minutes of Camp

My heart was racing when I was about to climb the high ropes, I  still proud of myself that I accepted the challenge to climb the climb ropes. I felt scared. My whole body was shaking on the ladder.  I felt like I am ready to climb up the high ropes, I told the instructor that I am ready to climb up the ladder and \ I was ready to walk along the high beam. Then I was putting my foot on the ladder one by one to I don’t fall. On the high beam I saw trees, hunua falls and ropes. The ropes were shaking when the wind started to blow on it.  I felt scared, but my friend was clapping and cheering. That time I felt little bit ok.  I saw my teacher taking photographs of me up on the high ropes.  

Once I finished going up the high ropes, to the end of the high beam. That time I was little bit unsure, because we have to do some “Challenges”.  I felt scared and my friends were encouraging me and they were saying “ Jump! Jump! You can do it!”.Then I was thinking can I do it, but I was scared, so I got an idea and it was a good one. The challenge I try to do was star jump. I was little it ill, but I did it. Then it’s time to come down. That time my heart was pounding, but I trusted the instructor and I also trusted myself. Then I was on the ground. I felt so proud of myself that I did it. The instructor said I ‘PASSED’. Then I felt so peaceful, relaxed and happy to hear that word. I said to myself “I actually did it, YESS!”.

Today for our math we did multiplication practice. We have to choose one times table for our week and practise it and when we finish practise this game. We did this game to see that if we are good at multiplication, if are not we have to learn it.  I already know my 1,2 ,3 ,4 ,5 ,6 ,7 ,8 ,9 ,10,11 and now I am learning 12 times table. I think I did my best and I can do faster than this time.

Saruja- Camp Collage

I did this collage because we went to camp we took lots of photo. So I choose these photo and put it in the collage. We had lots of fun and delicious food. You can see that camp is very fun because theses photos are looking nice. I think camp is very very fun and nice.

Saruja- Collage Rangitoto

I did this collage because it has rangitoto photos.  I have add 13 photos. We had fun by walking and went top. We saw lots of places and houses. They were looking amazing. I think Rangitoto trip is best.

Saruja- How to make a Chariot?

How to make a chariot?

To make a chariot you need to had a long thick stick, so you can make the tower bigger, and you also need some ropes to knots them.  Once you got everything you need to design your tower so you won't make any mistakes. Once you finished design you tower you can start. First you knots three of four sticks and make it stand, so you can put a big stick on top and the three stick won't move. Then you have to know the stick very tight, otherwise it won't stay for long time. Once you finish knots you stick you have to check everything is correct. Then you can make them stand.

Saruja- Brochure about challenge by choice

I did this poster to show about my experience at camp, because I did lots of activity and this Brochure shows about my challenge. I add contact number and the address, because some people also like to go to kokako lodge and see the Hunua rangers. This is a best place to have camp and have fun. I have learn lots of information about Hunua ranger and about kokako birds which lives in Hunua rangers.

Saruja- Blog post comaprisons

Today R5 were making a spreadsheet to show how many blog post we have on our blog. I did well on 2015 because I have got the most blog post in R5. My Google Draw shows 2015 is the highest and 2014 shows the lowest because in 2014 I was new to a digital classroom and I didn't know how to post my completed work on my blog. Than in RM5 I did it well because everyone was teaching me how to put it on my blog. 

Saruja- Battleships (TC)

Deziree and I did this presentation, because at TC we were playing a game and it called battleships.

We have to mark those boat and it we got we have to put on it, it means that we got the same boat, others got.  We just got one boat out, but I think we did a wonderful work. 

Saruja- TC ( Decoration )

I did this presentation last week, because we made a cake and we have to decoration our cake, so Mengchun, Raymond and I decided to do these kind of decoration. We really had fun by making a cake and decorate it.  I think the cake will come perfect. 

Saruja- TC (Safety In The Food Room)

Safety in the food room

1. Do not on the stove when you are not cooking because it will get fire around your food room.
2. Do not put the knife around your food room because it will hurt somebody in your family.
3. Don't put the curtain next to stove because when you on the stove the certain will get fire.
4. You have wash all your plate otherwise it will smell bad room.
5. You have to put the sup inside your cupboard or it will fell off on the ground.
6. Don't put your plate outside because the children will come and drop it.
7. Don't let the children on the stove otherwise they will get burn.
8. You have to wash you fruite when you are started to eat otherwise in the fruit there will be a small warm.
9. You have to wash your hands.
10. Clean your plate when you put the photo on the plate.

Saruja- High Ropes ( CAMP )

High Ropes

When my instructor said” Its me next”. My heart was beating so fast because I never did this before and this is the first time I am doing it. When I was climbing up the ladder, my legs was shaking and my hand was shaking too.  Once I was top I look down everyone was looking a rock because it was so high.  Once I was up the instructors told me to walk across the high beam ropes, and ask me if I can do some challenge. The challenge was” Star Jump, Push up, walking without holding the ropes, and walking backwards. I chooses to do a star jump and walking without holding the ropes, because I thought it will be little bit easy for me. Than when i finish doing the challenge it time for come down.  To come down we have face the instructor and sit half then took the feet up and push, so you will come down slowly. I thought this is a best game and it is little bit hard for me to climb up, but I try my best. I never try a hardest game before but when I went for a camp I try everything and I participated in every activities. I had a wonderful time at camp with my friends.

Dear Ms Kirkpatrick,

Thank you for giving us the wonderful opportunity to go to camp, we had a  marvellous time at camp. I especially liked doing lots of new activities and having delicious food with my friends. The Yr 7 and Yr 8 had a superb time at camp by looking at some amazing places. Also thank you for hanging out with us and help organizing everything for us. This is a wonderful year for seniors because they had an awesome time. I socialized with other people and I made a lots of friends like Yvette, Sajiha and Zeba. I had an amazing cabin group and activity group. My cabin was very warm, and I admired the carpet. Thank you for letting me be in a amazing and lovely group.  I would like to say big thanks to you, because you did everything for us!

Thank you so much Ms Kirkpatrick, for giving up your time to provide this camp trip. We will be the best students you will ever have and you will be the best teacher we will ever see. Thank you for coming with us.

I did this letter to Ms Kirkpatrick because sh is the one who organized camp for Yr 7 and Yr 8. I would like to thank her because every students had a wonderful time by doing lots if fun activities. I think she is a wonderful teacher and we are so lucky to have her at PBS.

Saruja, Tim and Tiare- Rangitoto Follow up Activity

On Tuesday Rm 5 and Rm 6 went on a trip to Rangitoto. We went to Rangitoto on ferry. At school our teacher gave us an activity that we can do about Rangitoto. This is an activity that I did with Tim and Tiare. We have to answer all the questions on the presentation. This activity helps me learn about Rangitoto. I think this presentation will also help you too. 

Saruja and Sajiha - Key Competencies

Before camp we did a presentation about  Key Competencies. This presentation show what kind of key competencies we have to use at camp.  We did " TRUMP" because it has " Thinking , Relating To Other, Using language, Symbols and Text, Managing Self and Participating and Contributing. These key Competencies helps me at camp by following the instructors rule and  to follow the right track. I think this presentation will help you follow the rules and let you know what kind of Key Competencies you have to use before camp.

Saruja- ANZAC Letter

Dear Friends Yofan,                                                           

Oh my god, this place is dirty and disgusting, because I see my friends get killed, As I always say war is very hard, but i have to fight for our country. When I open my eye, I can see blood drip from the roof. I always wonder how a bad life, this is.  

Everyday, I hear people shouting with frightness. I am always think this place is disgusting, because I see rats running inside of the trenches which loses my sleep. Even if it smelly we still have to stay here.

This is the most bad activity I have done in my life.  It was climbing up hills to get water. Do you think this is a wonderful life? I say “NO”! If you think you want to be a soldier, thats a good idea, but you will waste your life, and miss your family.  That what had happen to me.

I'm always petrified for the soldiers who have to risk their lives. I always feel scared, because sometimes I might die.

Look after my family, sometime I might not come back.

This is a letter I did. This letter is about trenches and how the war is a bad idea. I have explained how I don't like seeing soldiers being killed. I also explained how trenches are very bad to stay in because of the rats.
